This project consisted of constructing a new, ground-up, 4,035 SF, 2-story, office/clinical building addition for the Carl T. Hayden VAMC. The key project scopes included existing structure demolition, utility tie-in, site preparation, structural concrete, structural steel erection, metal framing, drywall, EIFS, finishes, doors and hardware, TPO roofing system, stand-alone HVAC system, storefront/ curtain wall, glass glazing, fire detection and protection, and alarm, communications, etc.
Briston Construction received a Performance Evaluation, completed by the Department of Veterans Affairs, which reflects the highest possible rating in every applicable category. In addition to the accolades received on the evaluation, we are proud to note that this project was completed 183 calendar days ahead of schedule.
As the Prime Contractor, Briston Construction was responsible for overseeing completion of the entire project. Briston completed approximately 56% of the project using our own workforce, which included the electrical, mechanical and utility scopes.
